Fund Administration
Golden Gate Global (GGG) operates multiple regional centers designated by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and works with independent third-party fund administrators to deliver the highest quality operational and service infrastructure for its EB-5 investors and project developers.
These third-party fund administrators provide accounting, operational and tax compliance services for GGG’s EB-5 funds. Engaging with a third-party fund administration provider offers an extra layer of professional oversight, transparency, and protection, as mandated by the EB-5 Reform and Integtrity Act of 2022 (also known as the RIA). GGG has already been employing the services of third-party fund administrators to ensure accountability for about a decade, adopting the highest industry standards years before they were mandated by the RIA.
- implement third-party controls required by the RIA and approve/co-sign all transfers with a comprehensive document trail
- maintain the fund’s official books and records (including accounting statements)
- generate and disseminate investor and fund statements
- oversee and execute the movement of investor capital per the offering documents
- manage the collection of loan interest and returns
- oversee the payment of fund fees and expenses
- coordinate independent audits, if necessary
- ensure compliance with US tax laws by facilitating necessary tax distributions and assist with the preparation of Schedule K-1s for investors
The fund administrators operate independently from GGG, EB-5 project developers, and other stakeholders. Investor statements, financials, and other official fund reports are transmitted directly to investors, ensuring accurate and unaltered information about the fund and the investment. The fund administrators uphold a fiduciary obligation primarily to the investor, ensuring that all services and responsibilities are carried out in accordance with the applicable EB-5 fund’s offering documents, US laws and regulations, and industry best practices.
