Mine Ekim is the Managing Director of Legal & Compliance at Golden Gate Global. She leads the legal and compliance efforts to support and strengthen the legal and compliance work of Golden Gate Global and Golden Gate Global-affiliated companies.
Ms. Ekim brings 15 years of combined international law firm and in-house experience to Golden Gate Global. Prior to Golden Gate Global, Ms. Ekim was at Dow Jones & Company, Harmonic (NASDAQ: HLIT), SNR Denton, White & Case, and Shell. She has worked within the fields of technology, media, telecommunications, finance, energy and infrastructure, specializing in a wide range of corporate, commercial, compliance matters, foreign investments, and cross-border transactions.
Ms. Ekim lived, studied, and worked on three continents. She earned an LL.M. degree summa cum laude in Cross-Cultural Business Practice from the Universities of Fribourg, Bern, and Neuchâtel, and a JD degree magna cum laude from Galatasaray University, Faculty of Law. She holds certificates in Finance and Venture Capital Executive Program from the University of California, Berkeley.
She serves at the Public Policy Committee for the Invest In the USA (IIUSA), the leading trade association for the U.S. immigration investment program. She is a Fellow for the European Law Institute (ELI) and a selected Member of TechGC and Women’s General Counsel Network (WGCN). In 2023, she was honored to be selected for the Corporate Counsel Business Journal’s “50 Women to Watch” list, which recognizes women who demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities, business acumen, and a commitment to mentorship in their respective communities. She is fluent in English, French, and Turkish.
